Glaido

Get Started with Commands

A three-minute video on the built-in commands and on connecting Glaido to your own tools.

Dictation writes down what you said. A command does something with it. This video shows the commands Glaido ships with, then connects a new tool from scratch.

What the video covers

  • Built-in commands. With a YouTube video open, hold the commands hotkey and say "summarize this video into five crisp bullets". Nothing needs to be selected. Ask a question like "who was the tallest man ever" and Glaido searches the web for the answer. See Built-in Commands.
  • A custom tool. The video connects Glaido to Spotify so a spoken command starts a playlist. An AI coding agent such as Codex or Claude writes the tool, and Glaido runs it. The buttons on the Custom tab have changed since recording, so follow Custom Tools for the current steps.
  • Approval. Before a tool that changes something runs, Glaido shows an approval card in the command window. Always allow lets that tool run without asking next time. See Deciding what runs without asking.
  • Switches. Every tool on the Custom tab has a switch, so you can turn it off without removing it.

The same video is in the app. Open Commands and click See Commands in action at the top of the screen.
