Languages
Choose your dictation languages and the language the app itself uses.
Glaido has two language settings. The dictation language is what you speak. The App language is what the app interface uses.
Dictation languages
Glaido transcribes speech in 100 languages. You pick the language, not the regional variant. Choose English and Glaido handles US, UK, Australian, and every other accent under that one setting.
To change your dictation languages:
- Open Settings > Dictation
- Under Language, click Change
- Select one or more languages
One or many
Choose a single language for maximum accuracy. If you regularly switch between languages while dictating, select all of them and Glaido detects which one you're speaking. You can't remove your last language, so at least one stays selected.
App language
The app interface (menus, settings, and notifications) is available in 14 languages:
English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Latin), Greek, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified).
To change it:
- Open Settings > General
- Set App language to your preferred language, or leave it on System default to follow your OS language
Each option is written in its own language, the way your operating system lists them. Look for Deutsch rather than German, and Nederlands rather than Dutch.
Changing the app language doesn't affect which languages you can dictate in.
