History

Glaido saves every dictation and command to the Activity panel on Home, grouped by day. Open one to read it, copy it, listen to the recording, or retry the transcription.

The Activity panel

From there you can:

• Browse past sessions by day, or search across all of them with the box in the panel header
• Open a record to see the full transcript and work with the recording
• Copy the transcript text

Commands live in the same list. Their rows carry a Command chip, plus Running while the command is still working, or a tool count once it's done.

Transcripts and recordings stay on this device, encrypted. Recordings are saved as .wav.enc files. The shield icon in the Activity header says the same.

Opening a record

A dictation record comes with a player. Play the recording, or use Download audio to save it as a file. If the words came back wrong, hover the transcript and click the retry button next to copy.

A command record has no player. It shows what you asked, what went along with it (the text you'd selected or the picture you approved), what came back, and which tools ran. When a tool call takes a while, a Stop button appears on it.

Reporting a record

If a record came out wrong, click the thumbs-down, Something went wrong, and pick what happened. For a wrong name or term, type the right spelling and tick Add to my dictionary to fix it for next time. The report shares that one record with the Glaido team and nothing else from your history.

Searching history

The search box in the Activity header searches every transcript once you type two characters. It matches your text anywhere in a transcript and returns up to 50 records.

Search covers completed dictations. A failed one has no transcript to match on, so find those by scrolling to the day they happened.

To search from anywhere in the app, press ⌘ + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows) and type at least two characters. The Command Palette shows up to 15 results.

You can also ask out loud. With the Search your history built-in command, hold the commands hotkey and say "find the address I dictated yesterday" from any app.

If a recording fails

A dictation is marked failed and its audio is kept when:

• Transcription comes back with an error
• You hit your weekly limit
• Processing times out
• Your microphone disconnects mid-recording
• Your screen locks while you're recording
• Your internet connection drops

To retry, click Retry on the failed row, where the timestamp usually is. The same button is inside the record, under Transcription failed. Your audio is safe.

The notification that tells you a dictation failed has a Retry button too. Click it and Glaido opens the record and transcribes the saved audio again. The new text lands in the record; nothing is pasted.

Retry as often as you need. Each attempt re-sends the audio Glaido saved.

Clearing history

Glaido keeps audio for your last 100 recordings. Older records keep their transcript but lose the recording.

To delete all of it, go to Settings > Account > Clear history. This also clears the clipboard history that the Search clipboard history command uses. You can't delete a single record, only the whole history.
