History
Browse past dictations, listen back to recordings, and retry transcriptions.
Everything you dictate is saved to your history on the home screen, so you can always go back to a past dictation: read it, copy it, listen to the recording, or retry the transcription.
Transcription history
Every dictation is saved to your history, grouped by day:

Ideas for the onboarding flow: shorten the permission step and add a live hotkey test.
Notion
From the history you can:
- Browse past sessions chronologically or search across all transcripts
- Open a session to see the full transcript and work with the recording
- Copy the transcript text
Listening back, downloading, and retrying
Clicking a history record opens the session player. Glaido keeps the original audio of each dictation, so you can listen back to the recording, download it as an audio file, or retry the transcription:
Transcription failed. Your audio is safe, retry below.
Searching history
Press ⌘ + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows) to open the Command Palette and type at least 2 characters to search across all your transcripts.
If a recording fails
If your internet connection drops during a dictation, Glaido saves the audio locally and marks the session as failed. To retry:
- Go to the Dashboard (the home screen)
- Click the failed session to open the session player
- Click the retry button (circular arrow, highlighted in the image above) in the player controls
- Glaido re-sends the saved audio for transcription
You can retry as many times as needed once you're back online. The audio is kept until you manually delete the session.
Clearing history
To permanently delete all transcription history, go to Settings > Account > Clear history.
