Create text shortcuts that expand when you speak a trigger phrase.
Snippets let you create short trigger phrases that expand into longer text during transcription. Instead of dictating your full email address every time, say "my email" and Glaido replaces it with the actual address.
How snippets work
When Glaido detects an exact match of your trigger phrase in the transcription, it replaces the trigger with your defined content.
Example:

Creating a snippet
Open Snippets
Navigate to Snippets from the sidebar, or press ⌘ + K (macOS) / Ctrl + K (Windows) and type "Add snippet".
Define the trigger
Enter a short, memorable trigger phrase. This is what you'll say during dictation.
Choose something specific enough that you won't say it accidentally in normal speech.
Define the content
Enter the full text that should replace the trigger. This can be multi-line text.
Save
Click Save. The snippet is active immediately.
Tips for effective snippets
- Keep triggers short and distinct. "my email" is better than "email address".
- Avoid common phrases. Don't use trigger phrases you'd naturally say in conversation.
- Use for repetitive text. Email addresses, signatures, phone numbers, common greetings.
- Multi-line content works. Snippets can contain line breaks for signature blocks or templates.
Managing snippets
Editing a snippet
Click on any snippet in the list to modify its trigger phrase or replacement content.
Deleting a snippet
Hover over a snippet and click the delete button to remove it.
