Dictionary
Add custom vocabulary and spelling corrections to improve transcription accuracy.
Add names, jargon, and product terms Glaido gets wrong, or set a correction that swaps one word for another every time.
Two modes
Add words so Glaido recognizes them.
Use this when Glaido keeps getting a word wrong.
Examples:
- Company names: "Glaido", "Salesforce"
- Technical terms: "Kubernetes", "WebSocket"
- Names: "Kowalski", "Nguyen"
Automatically replace misspellings.
Define a misspelling and its correct version. Whenever the transcription produces the misspelling, Glaido replaces it.
Matching ignores case, and it only fires on whole words. "postgress" also catches "Postgress" and "POSTGRESS", while a correction for "do" leaves "donut" alone.

Dynamic tags
The Correct spelling field takes more than fixed text. Use the tag picker beside it to drop in a value Glaido fills at the moment it writes:

Correct "paste that here" to {gl.clipboard}, and saying the phrase drops your clipboard into the sentence.
An entry that contains a tag works as a correction only. Glaido leaves it out of the vocabulary it hands the recognizer, because a tag isn't something anyone says out loud.
Managing dictionary entries
Adding a word
- Open the Dictionary page from the sidebar
- Click Add word
- Leave Correct a misspelling off and fill in the single Word field, or switch it on and fill in Misspelling and Correct spelling
- Click Submit
A word can run to 50 characters, and so can a misspelling. The Word field counts them off as you type.
You can also add words from the Command Palette. Press ⌘ + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows) and type "Add words".
Adding an entry that already exists shows Duplicate entry.
Finding an entry
The list header has a search box, Search words.... It looks at both sides of an entry, so you can find a correction by the misspelling or by the fix.
Editing an entry
Click on any existing dictionary entry to edit its word or correction.
Deleting an entry
Hover over an entry and click the delete button. Glaido asks you to confirm before it removes anything.
Suggestions from your own corrections
Glaido watches the words you fix by hand after a dictation. Fix the same one twice and you get a Dictionary suggestion notification: "You often correct "X". Add to dictionary?" Click Add and the entry goes into your dictionary as it stands.
The word has to be at least four characters, and Glaido has to have seen you fix it at least twice. What it noticed is kept for 30 days, then dropped.
This one runs on macOS only.
